Now I’m drawing a webcomic called Mud County Rodeo that ain’t about rodeos at all.

These things are probably connected somehow.

Howdy!

Welcome to Mud County Rodeo. You read correctly. Mud County Rodeo is a webcomic about almost everything but rodeos. We are marketing geniuses! (Ignore that first comic. I don’t know what that was about.) Every Wednesday and every Friday we bring you a new JPG that will hopefully have you in fits. (Of laughter? Of rage? Who knows?) We make comics about everything, but here are some of the main topics:

Now I’m going to talk about me for some reason.

Me. Me. Me. Me. And that other guy.

My name is Chase Fenlay. (I’m that handsome blond one there.) That’s not my real name, but I’ll answer to it. Why the obfuscation, you ask? Have you read the comics here? Any of my writing? I don’t feel like explaining this to either of my grandmothers. Plus I tend to cuss a lot, and that could really put a damper on my campaign to become Hegemon later. If you’re truly curious, it shouldn’t be too hard for you to find my name on the site. If you know where to look it’s fairly obvious. Careful, though. True names hold dangerous power…

I draw Mud County Rodeo. I also write most of them. Especially now that my brother Emmitt is back in school. With all the responsibilities Emmitt has there he’s opted to take on more of an advisory role. He’s a catalyst, you might say. An idea man. He’s decided to forgo putting his true name on the site. Summoning him unto this mortal plane could spell doom for you all.

Emmitt and I grew up on a farm. I live on a farm. I can’t throw an ear of corn without hitting a cow, and I am writing these words by candlelight on a scrap of tanned cowhide. That being the case you might think us the least qualified people in the world to make a webcomic, let alone one primarily about video games. You’d probably be right. Still, the desire has taken hold. We’ll see where this goes.

 

Here’s our to-do list (roughly in the order they’re likely to be accomplished):

* Play video games.

* Get some shirts (and other items) in the STORE. (Done. Sort of.)

* Go to 3 comics a week schedule. (MWF)

* Get comments working on the COMIC page. (Only works in archive versions at the moment.)
